APPARATUS FOR SHIP PROTECTION GUIDING SHIPS AND BREAKING THE REFLECTED WAVES IN CANAL

A device for protecting a ship within the waterway is provided to reduce the construction cost by making the scale of waterway small. A device for protecting a ship within the waterway comprises a plurality of reflected wave reduction units(3) installed along a channel wall(2) at a regular interval. The reflected wave reduction unit includes: a through hole(4) passing through top and bottom in order to reduce the influence of the reflected wave by the ship; and a support unit(6) and a shock absorbing unit(5) arranged on center surface of the channel wall of the reflected wave reduction unit. The support unit has the enough rigidity in order not to be bent with the contact with the ship. The shock absorbing unit is made from the Teflon based material in which the frictional coefficient is 0.1 or less in order to relieve the impact in the contact with the ship.
