METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ACTIVATED CARBON USING PINE NUTS SHELL

A method of manufacturing activated carbon using pine nut shell is provided to manufacture activated carbon using shells surrounding pipe nuts which are produced domestically in the large scale such that entirely imported activated carbon is replaced with the manufactured activated carbon. A method of manufacturing activated carbon comprises the steps of: carbonizing pine nut shell as a raw material at 375 to 600 deg.C for 1 to 4 hours; and introducing about 1 mL of distilled water in a steam state into 1 g of the carbonized material, thereby activating the carbonized material at 600 to 900 deg.C for 1 to 8 hours to manufacture activated carbon with very good physical properties in an environmentally friendly manner.
