A composition for preventing and treating brain diseases comprises a cleomiscosin B or isofraxidin which is denoted by the structure formula A or B, respectively, as an active ingredient. The brain diseases are Alzheimer disease, intracerbroventricular dementia, Parkinson disease, Creutzfeldt-jakob disease, cerebral infaction, or stroke.
