Provided are a photocatalyst with heterojunction of titanium oxide-iron titanate, which can be usefully used as a photocatalyst having its utilization range extended up to the visible light range instead of a photocatalyst has conventionally been operated in the ultraviolet ray range, and a preparation method thereof. A preparation method of a photocatalyst with heterojunction of titanium oxide-iron titanate comprises: a first step of adding an iron titanate powder in an alcohol solvent, adding nitric acid and distilled water in the iron titanate powder solution, and agitating nitric acid and distilled water with the iron titanate powder solution to prepare an iron titanate dispersion; a second step of adding titanium alkoxide in the prepared iron titanate dispersion, and removing the solvent while agitating titanium alkoxide with iron titanate dispersion at room temperature to prepare amorphous heterojunction of titanium oxide-iron titanate; and a third step of drying the prepared amorphous heterojunction of titanium oxide-iron titanate, and performing heat treatment of the amorphous heterojunction of titanium oxide-iron titanate to crystallize the amorphous heterojunction of titanium oxide-iron titanate into a heterojunction of titanium oxide-iron titanate with an anatase crystal structure.
