PURPOSE: A method for setting a schedule using a message of a portable terminal and the portable terminal with a function of setting a schedule using a message are provided to set a schedule suitably for a data management format of a schedule management application program, thereby conveniently using the set schedule.;CONSTITUTION: A method for setting a schedule using a message of a portable terminal comprises the following steps. Contents of a message received in a touch screen are displayed(110). A data attribute is selected. Contents corresponding to the data attribute are designated among the displayed contents.
