Epothilone Producing Strain Transformed with Heterologous Propionyl-CoA Synthetase Gene and Method for Preparing Epothilone Using the Same

摘要

An epothilone-producing strain transformed with the propionyl-CoA synthetase gene derived from the heterologous cell is provided to remarkably increase the ratio of epothilone B/epothilone A, thereby selectively mass producing the epothilone B. The recombinant epothilone-producing strain is produced by introducing the heterologous propionyl-CoA synthetase gene into the epothilone-producing strain which is Sorangium cellulosum. The epothilone is produced by culturing the recombinant epothilone-producing strain in the medium containing propionic acid as precursor.
