A cigarette filter containing ascorbic acid derivatives is provided, which has the excellent removal effect about the vapor phase free radical and in which negative taste of the cigarette is not generated. A cigarette filter containing ascorbic acid derivatives has sugar ingredient selected from monosaccharide, disaccharide, or polysaccharide as a substituent. The cigarette filter includes ascorbic acid derivative having a substituent selected from the group consisting of the palmitate, stearate, arachidate, laurate, and myristate. Monosaccharide is selected among glucose, fructose, mannose, galactose, and ribose. Disaccharide is selected among sucrose, maltose, and lactose.
