PURPOSE: A hydraulic apparatus for tightening a caterpillar is provided to access various types of caterpillars by chucking both sides of the caterpillar with a pair of caterpillar clamping units capable of moving horizontally.;CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic apparatus for tightening a caterpillar includes a frame(100) comprising a car body(110) with wheels(120) and a base plate(130) combined with the upper side of the car body, a caterpillar clamping unit, a first gas spring(300), a link, a second gas spring, a hydraulic hose, and a hydraulic device. The caterpillar clamping unit is comprised of cylinder(212) moving a piston by hydraulic pressure, a movable chuck(220) combined with the piston, and a fixed chuck(230) combined with the cylinder. The link(400) is pivoted to the base plate and the caterpillar clamping unit on both ends. The second gas spring(500) is combined with the first gas spring to maintain the constant angle of the caterpillar clamping unit. The hydraulic hose(600) is made up of one or more flexible pipes.
