The container has a movable part (12) e.g. drawer, opposite to a fixed part (11a) i.e. side wall, and movable between two positions relative to the fixed part in a displacement direction (20). Permanent magnets (18, 19a-19c) releasably locks the movable part in the positions, where the magnets face each other in pairs at the positions. One of the pair of magnets (19a) is fixed to the movable part, and the other magnet (18) is fixed to the stationary part. The magnets face each other transverse to the displacement direction, and the magnet (18) is provided for forming several pairs of magnets.
