Method for controlling sensors of environment recognition system for vehicles, involves evaluating obstacles in surrounding area of vehicle, and controlling detection region of sensor depending on distance of chassis to bottom
The method involves controlling a detection region (7a) of a sensor (4) depending on a distance of a chassis (8) to a bottom. The sensor evaluates the obstacles in the surrounding area of a vehicle (1) and in an electronic evaluation system. The distance of the bottom is detected with a detector. A change in the detection region is done by changing a threshold or sensitivity of the sensors. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling sensors of an environment recognition system for vehicles.
