The device comprises a supply pipe (4) with a spraying unit for the material, which is dried in the drying tower (1). Heated process air is supplied to the drying tower by supply lines, which are placed in the drying tower and have drying tower air outlet for the process gas. Two ring chambers (8,9) are arranged in the drying tower below a tower cover (2) between supply pipe and external wall (5). The ring chambers are opened below product outlet, and each ring chamber has a separate inlet (6,7) for processing air.
