The method involves printing a fluid (2) to be printed on a substrate (3), using an inkjet printer (1), and generating several printed fluid structures (4) on the substrate. The printed fluid structures are applied and coated on the substrate with a lining fluid (5) containing a silica gel particle (6) and a mixture of volatile and non-volatile polymer components. The lining fluid and/or the vaporized volatile components are hardened to form a residual component. The fluid to be printed and the particle are removed.
