The method involves applying a coating made of fluid, and single or multi-component medium on a structure. The material to be coated is acted with the coating in lumpy form in a coating device (1) and is fed to an installation position. The medium is applied on the material by sprinkling, and the material provided with the coating is fed continuously or discontinuously to the installation position. An independent claim is also included for a device for producing the attachment of a structure e.g. hydraulic structure.
