Gear shift device for multi-speed gear arrangement of motor vehicle i.e. commercial motor vehicle, has controller formed such that it deactivates magnetic valve such that actuation of gear selecting lever takes place in central track
The device has a gear selecting switch (5) to manually shift between high and slow speed gear groups (SG, LG). A controller (21) is formed such that it deactivates a magnetic valve (17) during the shifting of the switch for selecting the high speed gear group such that the valve connects a cylinder (12) of a piston-cylinder aggregate (10) with a throttle (23), and an actuation of a gear selecting lever (6) takes place in a central track from a shift track (16) assigned to larger gears to another shift track (15) assigned to smaller gears opposite to a flow resistance of the throttle.
