Internal combustion engine speed regulating method for motor vehicle, involves adjusting ignition angle towards reduction of torque of combustion engine during increase in amount of air, where adjustment is made partially in reverse
The method involves monitoring torque requirement of a power-assisted steering system of a motor vehicle. The air amount supplied to an internal combustion engine (1) of the motor vehicle is increased when the non-reducing torque requirement of the power-assisted steering system is determined by the monitoring process. An ignition angle is adjusted towards reduction of the torque of the internal combustion engine during increase of the amount of air, where the adjustment is made partially in reverse when the speed of the internal combustion engine is reduced.
