The method involves pumping a specific quantity of water from a water tank into a heating device and heating the quantity of water. The heated quantity of water is pumped-out of the heating device into a brewing chamber. A brewing substance contained in the chamber is brewed to produce a hot beverage. The quantity of water last pumped into the heating device is converted completely into steam in a controlled manner for forcing liquid out of a line system that is provided downstream of the heating device. The above steps are implemented one or more times during the beverage preparing process.
