The method for establishing target parameters to produce standardized printing uses a computer to choose main printing ink, spot ink and substrate from databases of these products. A profile is generated from these choices which is input to the computer and target parameters for the process calculated from it. An independent claim is included for apparatus for use in the method comprising a computer, software and databases.
