The switch has a switching element (11) rotatingly operated by a lock cylinder. The switching element and the lock cylinder are overlapped to one another in a direction to a longitudinal axis of the lock cylinder. A beard (29) of the lock cylinder is immersed into the switching element that comprises a switching element housing (17), in which the lock cylinder is immersed. The lock cylinder is immersed in a central accommodating region (21) of the switching element housing, where a housing section (15) partially limits the accommodating region in a radially outward manner.
