The method involves preforming coil sides of windings (18) of a set of winding strands by molding corresponding groove geometry in a tool before inserting coils into grooves (15) of a stator package (17). A winding strand is separately molded in the coil sides, which lie in the grooves. The coil sides are separatedly molded and are individually and successively inserted into the grooves of a circular stator (16). The coil sides are bent in a cylindrical ring shape with the stator package, which is formed as a flat package.
