The actuator has two pressure chambers (10, 14) that are connected with a pressure source by using respective pressure lines (12, 16), and a separating unit (18) for separating the chambers. A spring loads the separating unit with pressure, and a fastening unit connects the separating unit with a waste gate. An electrically controlled valve system (30) is arranged in one of the pressure lines, and a pneumatically controlled valve system (34) is arranged in another pressure line and connects the chambers with respective branch lines of the pressure line (16).
