The device (10) has a piston (12) and a piston magnet movably arranged in an axial direction of a cylinder (11) and staying in connection with each other in such a manner that displacement of the piston corresponds with displacement of the piston magnet. The piston magnet and an agitating element magnet are magnetically coupled with each other such that the displacement of the piston magnet is transferable to a stirring element magnet. The agitating element and the agitating element magnet are movably arranged outside of the cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a print unit of a printing machine comprising color containers and an agitating device.
