The module has a module support for supporting a gas generator of the airbag module and for discharging gas for blowing a gas bag of the airbag module. A diffuser supplies the gas to the gas bag, and a vibration absorber (1) is attached to the support for absorbing vibrations of the generator with respect to the support. The diffuser presses the vibration absorber against the module support to connect the vibration absorber to the module support. The absorber has a vibration absorber frame made of metal or plastic, and a covering made of a flexible material such as elastomer.
