The device has an electrical device (2) e.g. ignition coil, inserted into an opening (3) of retaining housing (1) e.g. valve cover of an internal-combustion engine. The electrical device is provided with a housing section (2.2) outside the opening and is held at the housing by using a rest connection (4). The housing section is rotation-asymmetrically formed in such a manner that the housing section acts on the rest connection when the housing section rotates around a longitudinal axis (3.1) with an opened side wall (10) of the housing section.
