The absorption valve (1) has a flow opening (6) within a flow area of the valve. A valve body (8) is movably arranged. The actuator has a bilaterally working pressure piston (11) connected with the valve body, where movement of the pressure piston causes a displacement of the valve body. An independent claim is included for a hydraulically assisted steering system, particularly for motor vehicles.
