The device has turbulence units (2) with thread channels by which threads to be swirled are guided. The channels are parallely arranged in an arrangement direction transverse to a thread running direction. A distributor chamber (1) distributes compressed air for swirling on the units. The distributor chamber exhibits a common opening via which the units are supplied with compressed air. The units are directly and individually inserted into the distributor chamber. The distributor chamber exhibits locking elements (4) for fixing the turbulence units.
