The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of precursors for l - 3,4 - dihydroxy - 6-[18F] fluorine - phenylalanine and 2-[18F] fluorine - l - tyrosine and their α - methylated derivatives, the precursor, as well as a process for the preparation of l - 3,4 - dihydroxy - 6-[18F] fluorine - phenylalanine and 2-[18F] fluorine - l - tyrosine and their α - methylated derivatives from the precursor.According to the invention, a compound of formula (3) is made available, the automated synthesis of l - 3,4 - dihydroxy - 6-[18F] fluorine - phenylalanine and 2-[18F] fluorine - l - tyrosine permits. The enantiomers unit of the product is ≧ 98%.
