The fuel high-pressure pump (1) has pump housing (2) and a pump element (3), which has a piston (8). The piston is driven by a cam (16), where the cam is operated with a roller (15). The roller is guided in a pivoted manner by a roller shoe (14). The roller shoe is connected with a return spring (26) such that the unwanted rotation of the roller relative to the cam is prevented around a longitudinal axis (9) of the piston.
