The system has an information providing unit continuously informing consumers (V1-V4) e.g. industrial organization, about actual price of medium over a data network (L2) such as telephone line, where the price information is obtained directly by a distributor or from a central location. The consumer and/or supplier controls the produced or stored medium in a distribution network manually or automatically using an electromechanical device. Cumulative consumption data and cost are informed to the consumer besides the price. The data network is a TV/radio transmission line, mobile communication network and power supply line.
