The device has a pair of mass elements (1a, 2a) transmitting drive moment. A phase adjusting device (3a) positions the mass elements against each other for adjustment of moment transmission. The adjusting device has electrical and/or hydraulic adjustment units, where one of units adjusts phase angle of the mass elements. The other unit has a swash plate and an electric motor with a motor housing. An input shaft is firmly connected with the housing. The former unit and third unit are adjustable independent of each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmitting drive moment from a motor unit.
