The box (12) has two evaporators, a heat exchange unit (148) and a cooling system, which are formed such that the cool box is thermally coupled with a fuel cell system (20) occasionally. A coolant circuit is provided for cooling the cool box and is controlled occasionally by the fuel cell system. The evaporator (132) and heat exchange unit are thermally coupled with the fuel cell system by a common heat exchanger. Heat energy is transferred from the cool box to the fuel cell system. An independent claim is also included for a method for cooling of food, objects or organisms in a motor vehicle.
