Differential gear unit for use in internal-combustion engine of motor vehicle, has friction stress adjusting unit mechanically adjusting friction stress of frictional differential unit in semi automated manner
The unit has a frictional differential unit (1) distributing drive moment and a friction stress adjusting unit (2) mechanically adjusting friction stress of the differential unit in a semi automated manner in dependent of the drive moment. The adjusting unit automatically increases friction stress with rising drive moment. The adjusting unit is connected in a partial rotatably fixed manner with a drive unit (3). The differential unit has a roller cage (8), with which the adjusting unit is partially connected. An overload protection unit protects the adjusting unit against overloading.
