The arrangement has a damping solution cleaning device (20) designed and arranged such that a contaminated damping solution i.e. damping water, in the device is cleanable. An additive dosing device (60) is designed and arranged such that dosing of a dampening solution additive e.g. isopropanol, is controlled based on parameters of the cleaning device. A damping solution container (40) is arranged such that the cleaned damping solution is conducted fro the cleaning device into the container. A damping unit of a printing machine is supplied with the solution from the container. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilization with a damping solution cleaning device arrangement at a printer.
