The method involves sewing electric connection lines (1,1') in an assembly of a seat heater in a seat cover of a vehicle seat. A flat conductor element (3) is used as electric component and is overstitched while sewing into the seat cover. The flat conductor element is a self-adhesive flexible printed circuit (FPC) flat conductor. An independent claim is included for a device for preventing damages and for protection of the electric connection lines of a heating element in the seat heaters in the motor vehicles.
