The device (1) has a complementary curved retaining contour (3) for lateral area of a tire (2), which is to be transported, and/or a rim (2'), which is to be transported. Two lifting elements (4) are provided on a concave side of the retaining contour, where the side is turn towards the tire and/or the rim. The lifting elements hold the tire and/or the rim by a negative pressure. A spring device (8) is provided between the retaining contour and a guide rail (7). The lifting elements are adapted to the retaining contour.
