Method for controlling internal combustion engine, involves ventilating fuel high pressure accumulator of accumulator injection system by opening control of injection valves in start phase and in operating phase affiliated to start phase
The method involves ventilating a fuel high-pressure accumulator (22) of the accumulator injection system (12) by an opening control of injection valves (24) in a start phase and in an operating phase affiliated to the start phase. The opening control takes place with increased injection pulse duration in comparison to the subsequent start phase. A retarded ignition-angle setting of an internal combustion engine (10) is limited to a lower value compared to the retarded ignition-angle settings in the operating phases, which are affiliated to the other start phases. An independent claim is included for a control device to control an internal combustion engine.
