The dough processing machine (2) comprises a dough portioning device (3), a dough kneading device (4), a dough transfer spreading belt (7) with endless individual belts for transferring kneaded dough pieces by the dough kneading device to a subsequent treatment, a reception section (8), at which the adjacent individual belts are placed to each other in a first distance, a delivery section, at which the adjacent individual belts are placed to each other in a second larger distance, a spreading belt-length adjustment device between the reception section and the delivery section. The dough processing machine (2) comprises a dough portioning device (3), a dough kneading device (4), a dough transfer spreading belt (7) with endless individual belts for transferring kneaded dough pieces by the dough kneading device to a subsequent treatment, a reception section (8), at which the adjacent individual belts are placed to each other in a first distance, a delivery section, at which the adjacent individual belts are placed to each other in a second larger distance, a spreading belt-length adjustment device between the reception section and the delivery section for the adjustment of two different given spreading belt lengths (F min, F max), and a tensioning device for the individual belt. The transfer spreading belt has a reception-side parallel section, along which the distance does not change the adjacent individual belts, and a delivery-side spreading section, along which the distance enlarges the adjacent individual belts. The length adjustment device cooperates with the individual belts with variable conveying length. The individual belts circulate around a guidance body, which has a rigid section for changing length of the individual belt and a longitudinally displaceable telescopic section opposite to the rigid section. The length adjustment device has a parallel section with variable length, and is a part of the spreading section with variable length. The parallel section has a first parallel sub-section, which is rigidly connected to the dough kneading device, and a longitudinally displaceable second parallel sub-section opposite to the first parallel sub-section. The machine has a guiding device, along which the second parallel sub-section is mutually displaced with the spreading section, a drive for displacing the second parallel sub-section and/or the spreading section, and a position safety device for protecting a given conveying distance of the spreading belt-length adjustment device.
