The handrail (10) has an LED lighting device (16) connected to a voltage source, and arranged in a groove (14). The device comprises a printed circuit board with an LED unit (20), and two electrical connection units on a side of the board, where the side lies opposite to the unit. The board comprises an electrically insulating waterproof envelope (30) i.e. plastic blocking unit, and a locking unit e.g. lock connection or clip connection, locks the device within the groove. The blocking unit has lateral knobs, which cause a deadlock of the device between oppositely lying walls of the groove.
