The method involves increasing an influence of a roll angle of a vehicle (F) on a control intervention of the electronic stability program in driving, braking or steering functions of the vehicle by a predetermined amplification of a difference of two vehicle transverse acceleration variables (ayfzP,ayfz2P) that are transformed on a common point (P) on the vehicle. An independent claim is included for a device for executing the method.
