Servo steering system i.e. electromechanical servo steering system, for motor vehicle, has superimposing device superimposing target moment signal on compensation signal, and drive unit controlled based on corrected moment signal
The system has a compensating device compensating disturbing moments acting on a steering wheel. A recognition device is provided to differentiate between steering wheel sided and road sided stimulations. The compensating device calculates a compensation torque. A superimposing device superimposes a target moment signal on a compensation signal that is output by the compensating device. A drive unit is controlled based on the corrected target moment signal, where the compensation signal corresponds to actual driving situation. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a servo steering system.
