The system (10) has a conveyor system (12) for conveying vehicle e.g. car, bodies (14) in a conveying direction (16), and another conveyor system (18) arranged along the former conveyor system, and conveying mounting parts e.g. vehicle door (24), to the bodies. The mounting parts are transportable to a cover and above the vehicle bodies in the conveying direction with respect to a conveyor transverse direction by the latter conveyor system. The latter conveyor system includes a supporting device for one of the parts, where the supporting device is held at a rail in a movable manner.
