The device has an image detection unit forming an inline-system and including a product passage pipe with an inspection window (2), where a current divider is provided in the passage pipe. An image analysis unit is spatially separated from the image detection unit and is arranged with the image detection unit as on-line. A color camera (5) and a lighting device (6) e.g. LED, are arranged in a housing (3) with a window (4), which is coplanar with the inspection window, and partially covers with the inspection window. A reference card for white alignment is installed at the window. An independent claim is also included for a method for continuous detection of impurities in bulk goods.
