The device e.g. translucent bag, has two opposite openings formed under the form of elastic gussets (1) below an upper edge of the bag for permitting the passage of hands of a user. A cord i.e. retightening thread (3), is provided at the upper edge of the bag for closing the bag. The upper part of the bag has a central opening (2) for permitting the passage of peeled vegetables. Small perforated holes (8) are provided in the bag.
