The device has a table top (4) attached to a column section (3) of a base part in a stand frame. A retaining belt is provided for lifting and back support of a body impaired person placed at the device. A motor drive allows lengthwise adjustment of the belt traction (5). A horizontally swivellable support of the section is designed with the table top, such that the table top and the section are tiltable relative to the person.
