The panel (1) has a metallic support (2) e.g. lacquer coated and/or galvanized steel container, comprising a plane surface pierced with rectangular openings. Photovoltaic cells (3-6) are fixed on the plane surface of the support above the openings. Electrical connectors are fixed below the respective cells through the openings, and are electrically connected to the cells. The support has lateral wings, whose shape is identical to that of rigidifying ribs of the support.
