The method involves breaking a disk to form a natural appearance crack on an opposite side of a slot, and carrying out deposition of a coating (2) on a cracked appearance face of the disc. The disc is placed on bottom of a cylinder (1) in a sealed manner, where the coating is formed in an exterior side, and the slot is arranged to interior of the cell and in contact with pressurized fluid. A determined thickness blade (L) of the mold is placed in the slot to adjust opening of the crack, and a state of the coating covering the crack is observed. An independent claim is also included for a system for testing a coating deposited on a hardening material such as concrete.
