The frame (2) has pivots (20) for maintaining a pivoting glass window panel e.g. rear window panel (6), and sealing joints (8). A transversally extended part i.e. reinforced crossbeam (30), connects two longitudinal parts forming lateral sides of the frame, and resists against lateral shocks on a motor vehicle. The reinforced crossbeam has a constant perpendicular section including a central zone that rises upwards for forming a central hollow (34). The pivots assure an articulated connection on the crossbeam for maintaining the window panel.
