The bench (1) has a horizontal seat (3) whose head part (3A) is mounted on a frame (2) by being displaced between two positions. The head part has a supporting unit constituted of a hollow tube and a rod, for supporting movable parts housed in posts (4, 4'). The unit controls the actuating of a locking unit i.e. movable stop actuating part, constituted of movable stops (6, 6') that lock a dumbbell bar (7) on supports/hooks (5, 5') such that the bar is unlocked only in one of the positions in which a user is seated on the bench and manipulates the bar after unlocking the bar.
