The method involves controlling a clutch e.g. bracket clutch (13), based on position information in a signal (S30), relative to positioning of mobile transmission member formed of arm and planet gear, when a motor (11) is stopped, where the transmission member moves between two positions in which the clutch presents engaged and disengaged configurations. The positional information is stored in an installation before programming the information, and is provided by a position sensor (30) to a control unit (21) of the motor when the clutch is in the disengaged configuration. An independent claim is also included for a motorized shutter installation, comprising an actuator with a motor.
