PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clarificant having excellent clarification performance and a small environmental load, a method for producing the clarificant, and a glass structure using the clarificant.;SOLUTION: The clarificant contains an amorphous metal oxide, and preferably contains amorphous tin oxide. The method for producing the clarificant includes: adding a metal material into an aqueous solution of an alkali compound; oxidizing; and neutralizing with an acid, and preferably includes: adding metal tin into an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide; oxidizing with an oxidizing agent; and neutralizing with hydrochloric acid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
