PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for rendering an image by use of a ray tracing method.;SOLUTION: An acceleration data structure between frames is updated or reused according to a changing point of view. Tree and image structure quality is adjustable according to a sudden change of a camera view field. A tree formation cycle is skipped alternatively or additively. The entire or a portion of a tree structure is formed with intervals, for example, after a predetermined number of frames. In response to an increased changing speed, a larger number of geometric image data are added to each leaf node of the tree. The quality of rendering algorithm is reduced further.
